As the colder months roll in and the days grow shorter, it’s not uncommon for motivation to dip especially when it comes to staying active. But for many of our members, the health club is more than just a place to work out; it’s a space to reset, recharge and stay on top of both your physical and mental wellbeing.

At Lane Cove Aquatic Leisure Centre, we are excited to shine the spotlight on our Member of the Month, Charbel! A dedicated member for several years, Charbel’s enthusiasm for group fitness and his vibrant presence in our community make him an inspiration to all. Through his commitment to classes like FX and PWRX, he not only pursues his fitness goals but also fosters friendships that keep the gym feeling like a second home. Read on to learn more about Charbel’s journey and his tips for staying motivated during winter.

Who Is Charbel, and What Inspired Him to Join Lane Cove?

Charbel is a long time member at Lane Cove Aquatic Leisure Centre. Charbel has always loved staying active, but what inspired me to join the centre was the sense of community and the variety of group fitness classes. Charbel wanted a place where he could challenge himself physically while having fun and meeting like minded people.

Charbel’s passion for fitness was sparked by a desire to improve his health and build a sustainable routine. The welcoming atmosphere at Lane Cove, combined with the expert guidance from trainers, made it the perfect place to start his journey.

What’s Charbel’s Workout Routine Like?

Charbel is a regular in our group fitness classes, particularly FX and PWRX, which he loves for their high energy vibe and strength building focus. Charbel also enjoys mixing in some gym sessions to work on specific muscle groups.

What Goals Has Charbel Achieved, and What’s Next?

Charbel is working toward improving his endurance and maintaining his progress through the colder months. Charbel strives to be consistent in achieving all his fitness goals while maintaining his friendships in which have been formed throughout the gym.

Charbel credits the supportive environment at Lane Cove for boosting his mental health, especially during winter when motivation can dip. “All the members at BlueFit are like family and encourage not only me but everyone to have fun working out,” he added.

Charbel was quick to give credit to the trainers at Lane Cove Aquatic Leisure Centre. Charbel said the team is incredible at pushing fitness limits while keeping it fun. “They’ve helped hit personal records and stay focused on my goals”.
