Maeve joined Lane Cove Aquatic Centre nearly two years ago and has since experienced an incredible transformation in both confidence and fitness. Starting as a beginner, she felt anxious about joining a gym. She wasn’t sure how to plan workouts or whether her form was correct, but she knew she wanted to make a change.
What drew Maeve to Lane Cove was the variety of group fitness classes and the support of qualified instructors who guide members through workouts and help ensure safe technique. That structure, combined with the energy of working out alongside others, made all the difference.
Since joining, Maeve has become a regular in Power X and FX30 classes. These sessions have become more than just workouts – they’ve been a gateway to building a strong sense of community and friendships that will last a lifetime. With each class, her confidence has grown, and today, she walks into the gym feeling empowered and at home.
Maeve’s progress is impressive. She’s now doing workouts in the upstairs gym that she never thought she’d be able to tackle. She’s lifting heavier, building strength, and hitting personal milestones that once felt out of reach. Her journey is a powerful reminder of what can happen when you step outside your comfort zone.
For new members or anyone just starting their fitness journey, Maeve’s advice is simple: try everything. By exploring different classes and routines, she found what worked best for her and created a schedule that keeps her motivated and engaged. She also encourages others not to be afraid to ask for help, seeking guidance from instructors has been key to her progress and confidence.
