The grandstand is now two thirds filled with cement to form the steps and seating areas. Plenty of work going on underneath the grandstand to continue with the changeroom and store room facilities. All walls of the 50m pool have been tiled. The pool build is coming along very well with a huge credit due to Lane Cove Council for their hard work ensuring this continues during these uncertain times.

March 2020 –
The construction of Lane Cove’s new outdoor 50m pool and grandstand is swimming along nicely. Preliminary work has started on the grandstand and works on the building are expected to commence in late-March. Works are on schedule for the new pool to open in time for the 2020/21 swimming season.
April 2020 –
Time flies when you’re constructing a pool grandstand! Check out this time-lapse of the new pool grandstand being constructed earlier this month.
• The grandstand roof structure has been completed and the construction of the grandstand and youth centre has begun.
• The southern concourse, including the plant room structure, has been completed. The fit-out will begin this week.
• The wall tiling of the new pool is approximately 40% complete.
Works continue to be on schedule for the new pool to open in time for the 2020/21 swimming season.
