We are excited to share that Lane Cove Swim Club has been awarded Swim Club of the Year at the 2024 Swimming Australia Awards! This award was presented on 14th September at the Howard Smith Wharves in Brisbane, recognising the club's dedication to the sport and its incredible growth over the past few years.
Since COVID-19, our club has grown by 52%, making us the largest swim club in NSW and the third largest in Australia! This achievement is a testament to our strong community focus and inclusive approach, welcoming swimmers of all ages and skill levels.
President Josh Baker attributes the club’s success to its deep-rooted connection with the local community and its efforts to provide swimming opportunities for everyone, whether competitive or recreational.
"Our goal has always been to ensure that everyone in the Lane Cove area has access to the pool and can enjoy swimming, no matter their age or ability," said Josh.
We are proud of the inclusive atmosphere we’ve created, and we’re excited to continue growing as a club that serves our community!
Saturday Morning Swim Club is Back! Don’t forget, our Saturday Morning Swim Club returns on 19th October 2024 at 7 am! Held in the 50m pool at Lane Cove Aquatic Centre, this is the perfect opportunity for families to swim together. With a variety of race distances available, swimmers of all ages can participate and track their progress throughout the season!
