For one week only, BlueFit Swimming transformed all of our aquatic centres into superhero training grounds. Throughout the week, our swimming instructors educated students on all things water safety with a specific water safety lesson plan. This includes educating students the following:
- Identifying risks in an aquatic environment
- Learning how to minimise these risks
- Practising our recovery positions and procedures
- Completing safe reach rescues and tows
We are thrilled to report that all our superheroes and their sidekicks were successful in maintaining a safe and happy environment.

“BlueFit Swimming had a blast with all our students in November during safety week. Dressing up to acknowledge our summer superheroes and to share some water safety tips with our younger students to help keep our local communities safe. If we have been able to provide some safety & rescue strategies that our students can utilise to help prevent an accident or assist in an emergency we believe we have made a difference. Building our Summer Super Heroes!”
